Whole place smells like concrete, bathroom has mold in it, cockroaches having the time of their lives… EVEN IN THE FRIDGE! Being told about a R1000 deposit at check in was utter rubbish, it was not stated on Bookings.com. No aircon despite the bedroom having a poor excuse for a window. Horrid stay, would not recommend it to anyone.

I have been living here for almost 3 years now. Deon was the original manager and things were great. Any issues could be taken to him and would be dealt with swiftly. Sarel, the new manager, has changed everything. Stopped spraying for roaches Security has deteriorated to a terrifying level. There are now residents, hotel guests, and storage unit renters, who all have EQUAL excess to the entire building. Unauthorized people come to the apartment doors to sell things, it is crazy. Removed the residence back entrance, this is only for storage unit renters now, all residence must trudge through reception every single time you enter or exit. Have an issue? Sarel will at best ignore it, you have to escalate maintenance issues beyond him to get anything done. He shouts, talks over you and demands respect like he is the king of Circa. This was a great place to live, but now, I would not recommend it to anyone.
Comfortable fully furnished Apartments, a home away from home.... The area is quiet with isolated episodes of student like loudness ... Great if you prefer your own space to a BNB evironment or hotel stay....
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this place. I lived there for a year and moved out late last year. At one point, we were fined for noise because management claimed we refused to turn the music down, even though we left immediately when security asked us to. I spoke to Sarel, the building manager, and asked him to check the footage to confirm this. He said he would cancel the fine but never did. I accepted it because, at the end of the day, we had played music. After that, I carefully read the rules, especially the “no noise after 22h00” rule, and made sure to follow them. A month or two later, I received another noise fine for something I didn’t do. When I tried to speak to Sarel, he talked over me and refused to listen. In frustration, I told him I would leave bad reviews because I was unhappy with my stay. He told me to leave his office, saying I was making threats. I replied that it wasn’t a threat, but a promise. I then called the agent who sent the fine, as I was renting through IGrow. She later told me Sarel shouted at her. Shortly after, two SAPS officers and building security came to my apartment. They intimidated me and put me in the back of a police bakkie without showing a warrant or explaining why I was being taken to the station. One officer even said I was “threatening white people who have power over me.” I asked how saying I’d leave a bad review was considered a threat, but he ignored me and drove off.
