This retirement village is well run. Access for wheel chairs between floors as well as lifts. You get 15 free meals per month. It can even be delivered to your apartment. Good security with cameras to make you feel safe. Staff is friendly. The complex has a few houses as well. It is one of the better retirement villages I have encountered.

Worthwhile viewing. Lived here happily for two years, left for two and back now for a year, but hopefully for good. Friendly, efficient and great food with amazing staff. What more could one ask for? Security? That too!
If you are looking for a retirement facility with warmth, empathy, and care, I would not recommend Kronendal Retirement Village. Our experience there was extremely difficult and, in my view, hostile and overwhelming. As an adult child, I often received frequent emails that felt threatening and unkind, which made an already emotional time even harder. The body corporate rules were excessive and regimented, making it feel like a hostile environment rather than a supportive retirement community. When my mother was newly widowed and living in the cottages, I arrived one day to find her roof removed while she was inside. Workmen were on the roof without proper safety equipment, and I had to call the City Council to intervene because it was an unsafe and hazardous situation. She had to be relocated urgently. Thankfully, there was no rain during that period, as all her possessions were exposed. This lack of empathy for a grieving widow was deeply upsetting. When she later moved to the apartments, we again found the environment to be very rule-driven and inflexible. For residents living with conditions like dementia, this was not a supportive environment. Instead of care and understanding, we were met with more emails that felt rude and threatening. This review only shares part of what we experienced, but in my opinion, Kronendal Retirement Village is not a suitable place for elderly people who need compassion, flexibility, and a nurturing environment.
Impressive complex for people in their older years. Beautiful well kept grounds and friendly staff. There is a range of accommodation from freehold homes for the independent to full care. Security controlled access and modern facilities.
Had to collect something there today, and impressive place. Well kept with maintained gardens. Nice rivulets flowing down with mountain water. The recreational centre with dining room, library, board room, etc is just as stunning. Happy residents here.
