If you are considering this complex, please take the time to review the rules carefully. Some of them seem unrealistic or overly strict

Eco Lake Apartments on the ground floor have no burglar bars or trelidoors and are being burgled into frequently. The management does not share burglary information so other tenants are kept in the dark and they cant take extra precautions or move out. You will not get any information from the management about anything that relates to security, case management or remedial mitigation. Meanwhile agents continue to advertise the Eco Lake Apartments as having top notch security which is misleading.

If you’re willing to spend over R2500 on electricity then this is the place for you! The electricity here is very very expensive and it will remain expensive even if you don’t use it! I was away for over a week but still found myself spend over R1000 on electricity. There’s a lot of daily charges and communal fees that you have to pay for, that actually have nothing to do with your own usage. It’s a total scam and nobody cares about it no matter how many times you report this. It’s really not worth it and I’d strongly advise you to stay far away from these apartments!!!!!!!!!

First and foremost, the security is a joke. It’s clear that the complex does not prioritize the safety of its residents. With no proper patrolling, and no clear procedure in place for handling emergencies, it feels like an open invitation for criminals. There is little to no accountability, and the management seems to be completely indifferent to residents' concerns about safety. The management team is equally disappointing. They seem more interested in collecting rent than actually taking care of the tenants. Communication is practically non-existent, and when you do try to get answers, you're met with excuses, delays, and a general lack of professionalism. This complex is only interested in making money. Any concerns about the living conditions, maintenance, or security are quickly brushed aside, and there is no effort made to make the place a safe and comfortable environment for tenants. It’s all about getting your rent, and that’s it. If you are looking for a secure, well-maintained, and professionally managed apartment complex, Eco Lake Apartments is definitely NOT the place for you. It’s a poorly managed money-grab, and residents' safety and well-being are clearly not their priority. Avoid at all costs.
