I honestly don’t even know where to begin — Havenside Function Venue exceeded every single expectation for our engagement. From the moment we booked, the service was professional, warm, and incredibly organised. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, spacious, elegant, and perfectly prepared for our special day. The décor was flawless every detail was thoughtfully executed and styled to perfection. It truly looked like something out of a dream. The food was top tier. Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! We recently used the Havenside Function Venue for my mother-in-law’s funeral, and I felt it important to share our experience. From the initial engagement with Hermashin regarding availability, setup, and costing, he was nothing but accommodating and highly professional. During such a difficult time, that level of support truly makes a difference. The venue itself exceeded our expectations. The décor, seating, stage setup, main table, and overall layout, right through to the ablution facilities, were of a standard I have not often seen in Durban. Everything was neat, well-organised, and thoughtfully arranged. Frank, the in-house supervisor, was always present and available, ensuring any last-minute adjustments were handled smoothly and without fuss. That hands-on support gave us great peace of mind. One important recommendation I would make is to include the air conditioning in your package. We initially opted for fans only, but quickly realised that the aircon was necessary for comfort. We made use of the full package, including catering. The biryani and dhal were absolutely delicious, and our guests had nothing but compliments for the food. It was comforting to know that everything came together so well, and I truly believe my mother-in-law would have been very happy. A sincere thank you to everyone involved in making the day run smoothly. The venue is also conveniently situated at the entrance of Chatsworth, with ample secure parking, which made access easy for all attendees.
