Hermanus Waterfront Apartments

There are in an excellent location on the seafront near some lovely walks and excellent seafood restaurants. As apartments the bed is excellent but the kitchen is very limited. We also.had a fault with a very tall shutter which was in danger of falling off on us. We reported when we arrived and whilst the WhatsApp response was pleasant, nothing was done to fix it.

We booked an apartment in Hermanus waterfront. The name suggest that we are on the water. Yes, the building was on the water, but the apartment looked as a bunker, no natural lights, looked as a storage room of the mall behind. Our windows looked directly to the garbage bins and they were not washed since the building was built. I woke up this morning at 6 by the horrendous smell of rotten garbage. At 7, the workers were already making noise outside. The apartment was humid, the bathroom was with black mould, the render was falling down from the humidity, the sink in the kitchen was leaking, the hand towel was wet and stained, obviously used before (they exchanged it after 4-5 hours after we complained), the toilet was not clean, one can see the brown from previous guests, the duvet had a weird smell, the bathroom towel were two different sizes and quality. All the towels looked like eclectic collection, there was only 2 facial paper tissues in a bowl, unfolded and stuffed there. The fan also was not working. The window in the bathroom could not close to stop the smell. This place is a scam and totally spoiled our vacation, my wife cried with tears. We asked for reimbursement, but came with lame excuses that they cannot upgrade us and offered us another evening in that dump hole. They even forgot to give us the wifi password and we had to send them a message.

At the end of the day, all anyone really wants is a decent, clean place where they feel welcome. “Kyle” clearly has a master’s degree in people management! Thank you, Kyle, for making me feel so welcome — it genuinely made me smile

We had a fantastic stay at Waterfront Apartments in Hermanus. The location is very central, and the spacious room with a balcony was complemented by a shared rooftop terrace with beautiful ocean views. Check-in was smooth with plenty of helpful information shared before arrival. Communication with the host was easy and responsive throughout. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem in the heart of Hermanus waterfront!!!! Great location with access to the mall, market and restaurants all within walking distance so no need to drive and not forgetting the stunning view overlooking the ocean! Very modern and chic loft apartment with fridge, kettle, microwave and utensils for four people. Our hosts Kijl and Alix are super hands on, welcoming and goes the extra mile making our stay even more memorable.
