Lovely, well maintained complex with friendly security. Security is good in terms of allowing nonresidents into the complex, however there are break ins on the ground units as they are easily accessible. The complex offers a clubhouse, swimming pool, school, carwash, restaurants, playground, braai facilities and more.
The place has great security and I enjoyed my visit there. The atmosphere is relaxing and the walking trail and their garden is giving tranquil vibes. They have a gym and public pool and there's lots of amenities 10/10 I loved it.
Over the past year there has been up and downs but reflecting back I have enjoyed my stay here. We have had a couple of power and water issues in the past but for now this seems to be resolved. The park has added a great presence to enjoy after a hard days of work!
My stay at Kikuyu Estate in Gauteng was extremely disappointing, especially given its reputation. I booked an Airbnb in Block 17, Unit 164, and the experience fell far below acceptable standards. Upon check-in, the bedding was wet and soiled, which is completely unacceptable for any accommodation. In addition, there were no basic amenities provided, such as coffee, sugar, or handwash—items that are generally expected for a comfortable stay. I raised these concerns with the host, Zimmy, but unfortunately received little to no response. This lack of communication left us with no choice but to remain in unsuitable conditions, including sleeping on wet bedding. What was even more concerning was the host’s response after I raised an honest review. Instead of addressing the issues, I was accused of taking items such as toilet paper. This accusation was both unprofessional and unfounded, especially considering such items are basic amenities provided for guest use. Overall, the level of service, cleanliness, and professionalism was very poor. I would not recommend this unit based on my experience.
