Avoid Lynton Manor if You Have Pets or a Family – The “King” Demands Silence (Except for His Own Noise) If you’re a pet owner or have a family with kids, Lynton Manor is NOT the place for you. There’s a certain resident who works from home and has decided that this is his personal sanctuary of silence. He complains constantly about any noise—especially dogs barking—like South Africa doesn’t sell standalone houses or farms where he could have the peace he desperately craves. I thought I was moving into a housing complex, not an office disguised as a residential estate. Apparently, normal living—where dogs occasionally bark and kids make noise—is completely unacceptable to the self-appointed “King of Lynton Manor.” But here’s the kicker: while we are all expected to tiptoe around in silence, we must endure the horrendous shouting matches he has with his mother from time to time. When they get going, I’m pretty sure the entire complex hears them. Somehow, that kind of noise is acceptable—just not dogs barking or children playing. So if you enjoy living in a place where hypocrisy reigns and one man’s “silence” rules over common sense, Lynton Manor is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look for a community that actually understands that pets and families are a normal part of life. 👎 Not pet-friendly, not family-friendly, but apparently loud arguments are just fine. 👎
