Forget about getting your deposit back, I got R1400 back for leaving the place in good condition. Imagine you damage something before obviously a place will always need maintenance. So deposit forget . Don’t clean cos spotless or not they will fire cleaners and charge you . Ask for the paint colours of the wall ,they will expect you to paint the walls when you leave. The shower is in the bedroom and that is a trap because it will create mole and they will expect you to paint . Your rent will go up every month and you dare ask why they will ask you to leave . I started my rent at R6800 after 5months I was between 8k and 9k for a 1 bedroom.

Renprop doesn’t care about tenant safety or security – avoid renting from them! We had a serious security incident where other tenants jumped over our balcony wall after we told them not to. Despite sending photo evidence, Renprop’s response was completely dismissive. The Estate Manager, Philile Ntombela, admitted the tenants did it and these tenants admitted to security personnel too but said she “can’t do much” and refused to act, even though the area is a CCTV blind spot. When I emailed Lease Manager, Lynette Ley, her reply ignored the issue and simply said they “can’t substantiate” our claim and that we could cancel our lease instead. When I called her for clarity, she was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me, saying it’s “not her problem” and claiming she doesn’t work with the estate manager, even though both manage the same complex. We recently renewed our lease and have never caused any problems, yet Renprop refuses to take this trespassing and safety matter seriously. If you value security, professionalism, and fair treatment, do not rent from Renprop. They clearly do not care about tenant safety or accountability.

They say they give you free WiFi. Add a cost to the WiFi it’s really horrible. I can’t believe I didn’t read the comments before I move here. It’s a long weekend and the WiFi is down I can’t connect my PS because I need to verify the user using a browser. Honestly I’m so disappointed I think I’ll only be here for a year. Honestly I’m so unhappy that I need to get my own WiFi

Guys I don’t even know where to begin. Pros: - 2 bed has 2 parking spaces which is rare for JHB. - loads of bed room and kitchen cupboard space. - Space for 2 wet appliances. - Spacious - Has elevators - free WiFi Cons: - nobody cares about the rules. People will play loud music and not care when asked to turn it down. -roaches are a huge problem. You can clean your heart out and they will be back. -if your neighbor smokes then you can’t leave your lounge windows open. Especially if they smoke weed. - forget about your deposit. You will clean until your hands bleed and they will still find something wrong. They will repaint a WHOLE wall because of two small dirt marks. No joke! - you will shower in cold water in winter. Notes : It’s a scam. The maintenance guy they use doesn’t make things better he makes it so that when you leave the things he replaces will have to be replaced when you move out reducing your deposit. If you work from home this isn’t the place for you. Children will scream blue murder throughout the day. Stay on the top floor if you can because if you have upstairs neighbors they sound like they are moving in and out all day everyday no matter the time of day or night! The general maintenance is not good in the apartment. A big hole in the cupboard by the stove. Shower finishings coming apart. If the previous tenants left damages, you will move in with those damages and they will fix what is necessary to them. They tell you to use this app that they don’t even manage. Just rather send an email. But Ja, that’s just my opinion hay.

Pros 1. Easy access to the N1, hospitals, shopping centres etc. 2. The apartments are quite spacious which I like. 3. Friendly security 4. Safe area Cons 1. Noise. Mostly kids screaming in the morning, pool area, loud music especially on weekends or noisy friend groups. 2. I’ve noticed littering. The place used to be clean however, these days the lifts are sometimes dirty , sometimes with alcohol spills. People just don’t mind littering which is wild. 3. I had a bad experience with getting my deposit back when I changed units but luckily I was patient enough to fight it. They added ridiculous charges which they couldn’t substantiate and did everything they could not to pay the deposit. I am a bit anxious about getting it once I vacate especially because I’ve been topping up as I have been living here for a few years. 4. There are so many doves in the basement parking that poop on the cars. I raised it and they said it was beyond their control. 5. Generally poor building maintenance. The paint is wearing off, there’s weed growing on the roof
