Well situated, got a nice park down the same road. Malls, hospitals, etc. in close proximity. Well kept, makes you feel at home. Swimming pool and braai area on the premises. Well guarded. #Safe&Sound
It’s a well kept complex. But the levies are extremely high. If you are a modern person who uses the internet to order groceries and other goods, think twice because the body corporate are stuck in Covid lockdown mode and do not allow deliveries to your door. You have to go and pick all deliveries up at the gate regardless if it is a single parcel or ten bags of groceries. And they don’t care if the person receiving the groceries is elderly or disabled. Extreme inconvenience and lack of care for residents.
If you like living in an Authoritarian complex. Then any one of her complex's that she manages is for you. I have 5 short stories to tell you of my experience with Yvonne Nathan and why I will NEVER step foot at any complex run by her and her company. 1. The WhatsApp Saga - the first week I had moved in, I wanted to find out if there was a WhatsApp Group for the community to communicate with one another. No I'll intent at all in my email requesting. But it was as if I told her the worst possible thing. Not only did I get vilified for my suggestion. She actually threatened me that if I did not stop I would hear from the trustees. I mean are you kidding me? What happened to "freedom of speech"? The best part? The very next day she creates an "admin" only WhatsApp group, after telling me that it isn't "that type of complex". 2. The black bag Saga - also, the 2nd week we are there, our domestic was there and she didn't know the exact rules about leaving the bag outside. As I told her she can leave it out in the mornings for the gardener to collect. But she accidentally took it out in the afternoon. Wow, did we receive a lashing of words from Yvonne Nathan. After a quick apology and bringing the black bag back into the apartment. We thought it would be done right? Nope, Yvonne Nathan wanted to make a statement. So she contacted the landlord to say that we have been warned multiple times (we warned once before) and that she will give the landlord a penalty fee if we do it again. Needless to say, we decided to rather take our own black bags to the rubbish dump. 3. The braai Saga - One quite Saturday afternoon, I invited some of my friends over for a braai. To which the upstairs neighbor, poked his head out his bedroom window and shouted at me " You are not allowed to braai" to which I responded "In my contract that I signed, it says I am allowed to. So go back in your apartment". A few seconds later. Yvonne Nathan messages us and tells us that we have to put out the fire. To which I tell her exactly that in my contract that I had signed with her it states that I am allowed to braai in my garden. I mean honestly you wanted to stop me from being a South African? 4. The trailer Saga - my father-in-law had come all the way from the WC to come for a visit to see his newborn grand daughter. Of course he has a trailer with his bakkie. Oh no, not in Yvonne Nathan's complex you won't! The first thing she did was tell my father-in-law that he has to park his trailer else where and is not allowed to park it in the complex. So beware people. a trailer is a deadly beast! 5. Last but not least, the music Saga. People, if you like to listen to music. Make sure you buy head phones for every member of your family. Because Yvonne Nathan will tell you to turn that dial down to the lowest bar. So here is 5 reasons why you should run the hell away from ALL complexes run/managed by this Authoritarian ruler.
I would not recommend living here. We stayed on the first floor, right above the estate manager, and the experience was frustrating. She is intrusive and constantly in your business. • She complained that my bakkie with a canopy was a “fire hazard” because it stuck out slightly from the parking bay. • She even came into our apartment uninvited to complain about the unit’s upkeep, which as tenants was not our responsibility. • Despite being quiet and respectful, she still accused us of making noise. On top of that, the landlord is unresponsive — messages go unanswered, and if something breaks, you’re left to deal with it yourself. The only positive is the location being close to Sandton, but it’s not worth the stress. Stay here at your own risk.
