Faulty technology, disconnect between management and tenants as well as the inability to cater to social individuals. They consistently advertise a ‘space’ for everyone, but in truth, there are many restrictions and the facilities that they pride themselves in, always has some sort of issue. Sleepovers are also charged at R500 a night, and is only allowed on Friday and Saturday. And this is a ‘privilege’ that MySpace has continually stated can be taken away if ‘abused’. If you are a social person, consider the contract carefully before signing.

MySpace is a private residence for students. Such good management, staff and friendly faces to welcome you. I have been staying here for the duration of my first year studying and i am so happy with the safety, authenticity and feel of MySpace. A very good decision when applying for private residence in Stellenbosch.
I would not recommend renting or purchasing a residence at My Space. While I appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the rooms and certain amenities, the drawbacks outweigh the advantages. Notably, this complex is not conducive to social individuals, as they restrict visitation to only three guests. I've encountered situations where I've had four friends over for a movie day, only to be informed that I must choose which one has to leave, with an imposed limit on the number of visitors. Additionally, My Space does not permit overnight stays, and if such an occurrence does arise, a fee of R200 per night must be paid. This policy is supposedly in place for safety reasons, although I did not feel secure during my stay here. One concerning aspect is that the security code for every room is identical, which has led to maintenance staff entering my apartment while I was sleeping, ostensibly to address issues that were not present. Such incidents have occurred repeatedly, and I've even walked in to discover a male staff member exiting my room without providing an explanation for their presence. As a young female, these experiences were distressing, as I found it unsettling to wake up and hear unfamiliar individuals within my apartment. It is worth acknowledging that some of the security personnel are friendly, and the presence of a library and vending machines adds convenience. Nevertheless, in my personal opinion, My Space fell short of my expectations. I would advise potential residents to carefully consider the aforementioned concerns before making a substantial financial commitment to reside here.
I cannot speak highly enough of MySpace student accommodation. Their facilities are top-notch, creating a comfortable and secure environment for students. The professionalism of the staff is outstanding, and their friendliness goes beyond expectations. What sets MySpace apart is their genuine care for the residents. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure the well-being of the students, providing not just accommodation but a home where you can have peace of mind. Knowing that your child is in the hands of people who truly care makes all the difference. I wholeheartedly recommend MySpace to any parent seeking student accommodation that prioritizes safety, professionalism, and a supportive community.
Absolutely ridiculous. This place wants all their rent paid a year in advance. Before the student can even rent the apartment. They do not declare certain fees and the breakdown of the fees. Please be careful people. If something should happen to the the building or the company should liquidate...everyone will lose money. Appalling!!!!!
