Security have no assistance about tenants who hire things from companies and refuse to return them. They assist tenants to be thief's. They have no backup laws incase of emergencies. Police intervention is needed to resolve matters of the securities at the complex shen they are the law. Worst ever. Don't stay here
A few month ago, moved into Northgate Height was excited and loved the view and modern setting. But over the months sadly not really happy about this complex. The complex is extremely noisy and people that make this noise get away with it. We were told no dogs in upstairs units and we have a dog that is locked in the houses and barks ALL day!! We were told only smaller dogs allowed, we have a big dog downstairs that also just barks away. Our internal communication is not professional receiving 5 to 6 messages of scolding like we are not paying and being given free accommodation. We had a lovely gym R70 per month to at least compensate the already the water, geyser (boiler), electricity and refuse (which to date i do not understand. If we pay R450 for refuse what do the owners of the apartments pay levies for? Anyway now the gym membership has sky rocketed. The price for a good view and modern apartment :) PS no visitors after 23H00 so they can sleep at the airport or make alternative arrangements , no bring mates back from the club lol
I do not feel safe living in this complex. There have been frequent break-ins, including a break-in at my own unit. What’s most disappointing is that management did nothing meaningful after the incident — no improved security, no communication, and no accountability. Residents’ safety does not seem to be a priority here. If you are considering moving in, especially with a family, think twice. The lack of action after serious security incidents makes this place unsafe
First time I moved into this place I was so excited by to my surprise I stayed there for the whole month without electricity and I kept getting stories from both the agent and afco management. The tub was blocked I kept calling & going to their offices but nothing was done.because the had first put me in the wrong apartments before going to stay in Northgate Heights the Building manager told me I wasn't suppose to pay for that month since I had stayed without electricity and also the building I had came from it was small my groceries were rotten cos there was no electricity there but the matter became worse when I received a bill R15000 something I went to their office but they couldn't resolve anything and the agent was suppose to meat me there he disappeared cos he knew that his was suppose to compensate me and the building Manger also never came instead he sent an email denying everything he had said even though I had proof still they never cared I had to pay.Everytime the bill was coming to high yet me I was working by the airlines sometimes I would travels for several months.During locked down I lost my Job and they locked the doors without even informing me anything when I got home @ was @ night I had just landed from overseas only to find the place locked.i slept in the car.next morning when I approached the building manager he told me it's the lawyers who locked but he refused to give me their details.i then went to afco I was told to book an an appointment and by that time my baby was so small.i was order to pay R20 000 in order for them to open and I did still the place was locked it was an up and down thing then I refused a call to pay another R15000 then go get my stuff.first day I got there I was told building manager is not available just imagine after hiring a truck and people to help carry the stuff. I had to reschedule.the day I got there the place was smelling the kitchen tap and the main bedroom one was sprinkling like someone popped it up my friend broken there was no electricity but when they locked I had bought R1000 electricity. A lot of my stuff was missing.since then I've Been receiving calls and emails that am owing R50 000 how can they charge me after I had vacated their premises. For me am sorry I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there yes it very nice from the inside out but the management is robbing people.
