Portobello Place - Sandton.

Complex is quite tightly packed. Driveways are small. Flats are reasonably sized.1 bedroom flats - Bedrooms have bathrooms that don't have a door, and some have separate bathrooms but really small. Cupboards that were originally there look really outdated.

Nice complex - called it home for 4 years. Not giving it 5 stars only because the caretaker lady is an absolutely horrible individual - the worst kind. The way she treats the groundskeepers is disgusting. She doesn’t talk to them like normal people. Maybe it’s a classism issue, and that’s me being nice. Beyond that it’s a quiet place and people keep to themselves a lot. Not a lot of drama and the groundskeepers always keep it looking spotless regardless of their embarrassing work situation.

Great place to live, very quiet, safe and private. Perfect for singles or couples not families. Very steep inclines and guest parking is almost not existant. The property manager can frequently be heard shouting at the workers and talking to them in an undignified and unprofessional manner.

Stayed here for 10 years. Peaceful, quiet and well maintained gardens. Plenty of sun from the morning till evening, never needed a heater once in winter. Older complex so could fit a queen bed with a desk, dresser and bedside tables comfortably. Used to walk to work in Sandton (4km) and nearby shops all within 1km. Very secure with a sort of hidden entrance so used to feel extremely safe.

Generally a nice area to stay at. It's clean, quiet and safe. The place would be ideal for a single person or a couple. The gardens always look amazing, thanks to the gentlemen who work tirelessly on the ground 👏🏽 to make sure it's always trimmed and neat. The security guards are friendly. Generally not easy to find though by gps, got lost when I first came and a few of my guests had gotten lost as well.
