Riverglades Estate

Have purchased a place here in 2020 and before that I used to rent . It’s like a holiday home as a home . Love all the attractions. 4 swimming pools , amazing security, clubhouse, restaurant, basketball court and two kids playgrounds . And it is pet friendly. What more can one want .

This review is regarding the poor training of security staff at this estate. I have been coming to the estate regularly to visit and today I was held up for 5 minutes by one of the security guards. (A gentleman with a gold tooth.) Not because there was any reason to, but because said guard decided that my not speaking isiZulu gave him the right to waste my time for five minutes making Xenophobic and sexist comments before allowing me access. After speaking to the person I came to visit I was told this gentlemen has been reported on numerous occasions for inappropriate conduct specifically amongst black women on the complex. I wished to report this incident to the estate management however could not find any contact details. Seeing as I am not a resident I am leaving the complaint here. To the management/ owners of the estate, you need to vet your security better. The next time I visit I plan to take this individuals details to report directly to the sahrc.

Moved here a while back, absolutely love this place. Great for small families or single parents. Beautiful gardens, play areas and other amenities. Two restaurants on the property. Units are quite small but comparable to the area. Feels like you are on a weekend away everyday.

What a wonderful haven of peace and nature in the middle of the busy Northern suburbs of Johannesburg.
