Simonsberg Mooiberge estate

The rental space is ok but the place is in need of proper management. I have been living here @Mooiberge for the past 6months and its been a nightmare .Im looking forward to the day my lease expires.

Nice area to stay on

Lovely residential area, it's fairly new so it is still clean and quiet. They do however have one of the most counterproductive entrance and exit system, you have to wait for the guards to open for you even as a resident.

Stayed there in 2019... Pros: (1) lower rental prices compared to other flats in the area (2) full bathroom with shower & bathtub (3) second bedroom is spacious compared to others I've seen. Cons: (1) definitely doesn't deserve to be called an 'estate'. It's just simple blocks of flats (2) poor communication from agents/landlords to tenants e.g. electricity/water would go off without notice. But communication RE money matters and fines is very quick (3)once your furniture is in, the flat is actually quite small (4) kitchen had no top cupboards so all crockery had to be squeezed into bottom cupboards (5) no communal washing lines to hang laundry (6) no braai facilities (7) security is not that tight but at least I didn't experience any incidences (8) boom gate is not automatic; you have to wait for security guard to lift if up every time. Would I recommend this place to the next person? No, explore other options. But if you are desperate OR looking for a small place OR are a student OR are looking to save money, then yes.

The don't think this is a bad place the security are strict which is good and it looks maintained, but there is next level scams going on here with the water. How can you have prepaid water and received a bill for water used. My water bill fluctuated so much. Ever since staying at my new place my water bill is R800 less per month.
