Save place. Nice pool - IF it is maintained....Security quick to hand out 500R fines even if you just place a towel Infront of your own flat entrance so that the rain doesn't flood your home, or if you want to stand outside your door to enjoy the warming winter sun..... Depending which way your flat is facing it can be VERY noisy from the super busy road or the ever active students from across... I'm lucky I have a good landlord who has taken care of the flat but there are many others in a delapidated condition with hordes of cockroaches running about....rent quite high considering all.

Flats are full of Roaches, we have an issue with mold and a leaking ceiling in our apartment no response from maintenance as to when it will be fixed. Security guards are extremely rude constantly shouting at guests and tenants have no respect for the people who live here unnecessary fines are handed out but no work is being done to fix inside of the apartment.
I have been living in Skyways since 01 September 2023 and moving out on 29 February 2024 (6 months lease). Today is 3 February 2024. Sharing with you my experience, living in my apartment with a dog, working from home. PROS * Currently no loadshedding. Only had 2 outages so far, both 2 hours in duration. * Building manager (female) is exceptional and very helpful * Complex is kept very clean, neat and tidy * Large pool and communal garden space, where you can have BBQ * Residents are generally quite friendly * Can keep dog or cat CONS * VERY NOISY!!! * Terrible area, very smelly as street people defecate in alleyways * Loud shouting and profane language every night, especially over weekends * Construction, drilling, banging, etc * Tap water of poor quality; unsuitable for preparing beverages or food - made both me and my dog sick * Reported water quality to my agent and body corporate - no action was taken * Lots of students and children, so again it can get noisy * Dangerous to head outside complex at night * Reception security is horrible; no decent way of speaking and very arrogantly draconian I enjoyed my time staying at Skyways, but after about 3 months I was ready to leave. This space is ideal for someone looking for a money-generating investment or a short stay. However, longtime staying can become a really excruciating experience. Adrian Nelson
Regardless of it's past it's a beautiful cozy complex on the edge of the city walking distance to all the amenities offering 24 hour security. but watch out when parking outside as the homeless dudes around the corner tend to smash windows for whatever they see valuable. keep the car clear of anything avoid having a bad day.
Visitors can't go in the flats if you forget your id at home not allow driving license kak flats
