Place gets a bit noisy at times but it always feels safe and the security is friendly and everything is kept up to date. Overall I think its great
Secure complex with underground parking, security desk, close proximity to Saturday Neighbourgood Markets and other amenities, central location, and best of all, unreal panoramic views of the Cape Town City Bowl! I thoroughly enjoyed my 5-year stay at The Hub.
Don't do it! just don't. I have been living here for 4 months and truly I hate everything about this apartment block. It's not far from being a university res block! 1. Noise! domestic violence noise (or what sounds like couples fighting in corridors), people throwing parties, and excessively loud music. All of this happens at the oddest hours of the morning. Mind you this happens every 2 weeks or so, you will not sleep because the noise is miserably loud. Even when you complain to security it's as if they are unable to contain noise makers. They are building a rooftop thing hopefully this will curb the noise issue. 2. If you work from home again, I wouldn't recommend you to move here. If you are unlucky like me, your neighbours will blast loud music at 10 am (at least on my floor this is what I experience) while you are in a meeting and there's nothing you can do. 3. If you are looking over the "Harbour view" just an FYI the train passes hourly and it is loud so mentally prepare for that. Overall unless you are a party animal you truly won't enjoy living here there's no peace.
I have been living here for 5 months and its really not bad at all. Great staff, relatively quiet (on the second floor), clean and well kept. Location is okay but dont walk around alone (especially on Strand Street near the rail tracks), Woodstock is unfortunately quite 'druggy' now so there are loads of addicts about and sometimes cause trouble. If you have car, there is underground parking which is a blessing in CPT. Happy so far. (And well done to the great security people at reception :)
