We recently moved into The Poplar into a 3 bedroom ground floor unit. The actual building and house is stunning BUT, there are many frustrations that don’t make it worth the substantial rent you pay. There is shocking cellphone signal (if you’re with MTN) not even the guard house or gate can get ahold of you. We struggle terribly with fiber, it is forever dropping and we have a 200mb line. The minute it rains our electricity goes. We have been here a month and we have struggled on 3 different occasions where for periods longer than 13/14hours we don’t have electricity. The most frustrating and disappointing is challenges with estate management. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction with the service delivery the response was sadly not the expected professional and considerate response when seeking resolution to issues. Overall, all such struggles has created an unpleasant living environment. I hope for improved oversight and a more considerate community atmosphere in the future.

Security Breach and Cellphone Theft in the complex!! Fidelity Security at The Poplar Estate failed to protect residents. On 26 January 2025, their lack of proper access control and negligence allowed an unknown individual into the estate, as a result my cellphone was stolen. Body corporate has not made an effort to address the matter or support in resolving it despite multiple emails sent to them. Residents deserve better from both the security provider and the body corporate

Quiet and serene environment, family friendly

While the apartments are upmarket and the complex is fancy, the levies are incredibly high. We also experience unpleasant neighbours which we have gotten tired of reporting.
