The View Morningside

I'm currently renting here but looking for another place. Great for a short stay, but to make it your home, I wouldn't recommend it. I initially moved during loadshedding because they have a generator. But as soon as I get comfortable, something will come up. When I first arrived, it was the wifi. I could wake up one day and my internet doesn't work which sucks when you work from home. And getting it fixed is like pulling teeth, but they will still take your money while your wifi hasnt been working. Then it's the hidden repair fees that they dont actually keep tracknof themselves, they just wake up one day and decide you owe them for a repair from last year 🤣I'm actually just staying cause it's close to the gym and work when the wifi is down. But yoh, I can't wait to find a new place cause this ain't it.

Stayed here for 1 night while passing through joburg and really enjoyed it. The staff are lovely and the place is clean and so easily accessible. Simple and easy parking, great Checkin with simple digital door locks (love)! Definitely worth it!

We found this apartment last minute, and it has completely exceeded our expectations. All the facilities were there, washing machine etc. The patio was huge and the view amazing! Staff were very friendly and our apartment was cleaned daily. Location was good as well, there’s a small mall walking distance away with a Woolies, Clicks and Kauai. There’s a few Virgin Actives in the vicinity as well. When making the deposit, use the QR code that the reception provides. You’ll receive your deposit back quicker that way. The only 2 things that would improve this stay even more were: 1. Air conditioning - it was quite warm in the hot summer 2. A hand held shower - the shower pressure was good enough thankfully. But sometimes a hand held shower is necessary when washing long hair. This may be completely not relevant to you of course ;)

An exceptional stay (7 days) that exceeded my expectations. The front desk was competent (s/o Winnie 😄), security was top-notch with easy parking access for our guests. The daily housekeeping service ensured a clean environment every day, which was especially important for me as I was very busy during my stay. One point: It would be nice to have a little more tableware for entertaining guests.

The View in Morningside was such a lovely stay. The apartment is really cute, nicely decorated, and has everything you could need for a comfortable visit. One of the highlights was sitting on the balcony in the morning to watch the sunrise, it was such a peaceful and beautiful way to start the day. The desk staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly, both during check-in and check-out, which made the whole experience even better. The only downside was that the overhead fans are quite noisy. If you are not used to sleeping with background noise, they may wake you up during the night. Other than that, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it.
