After reading these reviews I can now stop forcing to want to come and stay there. I have been trying to stay speak to the agents there and get a place and what I was told was that 1 bedroom is only for 2 people so if you have a kid you will need a 2 bedroom how is that possible. But am so glad the lady by the name of Deidre Wentzel rejected us from applying there am so glad. Now I will stop forcing to want to stay there.

Glen Starling recently switched to prepaid electricity, which has made a significant difference to my monthly expenses. Since the switch, my utility budget now lasts around two months instead of just one. Great move by the Glen Starling management team.

I had a very disappointing experience staying at Glen Starling. There were multiple ongoing issues that made the living conditions frustrating. The water quality was a major concern. It was often brown on most days, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, electricity costs were extremely high, far more than expected or reasonable. The internet was unreliable throughout my stay, with frequent outages and connectivity issues, which made working or even basic use very difficult. Maintenance was another problem. Requests were handled very slowly, and issues were not resolved with any urgency. Now that I’ve moved out, I’m struggling to get my deposit back. There always seems to be a new excuse or delay, which has been incredibly frustrating. Overall, I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

This place is extremely disorganised. They present it as a friendly environment but there is always a problem with the internet or the generator that we pay for monthly also and they will still charge you monthly for it. They recently installed this new meter company without asking anyone if that is what we wanted. I am moving out this month and I will never look back. We were just told today that we will start to be billed for our own water monthly without prior notice. Our geysers have been on and heaven knows they will be charging us big water fees for the dirtiest water anyone could ask for. The agents do not communicate properly we just get forwarded messages from the property manager no structure Im the messages just forwarded messages in the group chat. Extremely unprofessional. I live her for 1 full years and I am already ready to leave because I am so disappointed with the level of mess that is here. Not to mention all the loudness coming from random units And please don’t listen to their responses they are always striving to fix but never actually reaching that goal because they only care about money. That’s why all the blocks are empty with 4-5 people living in each block. They need to call Protea back and give back our meters. My colleague moved out and she paid 20K deposit that she is struggling to get back. 20K imagine. The good reviews are from newly renting people they will Also be back with bad reviews soon. Run away guys. Before it is too late.

The good first : Security is good and the security personnel are quite friendly and helpful. Oratile the caretaker is always available to help and is a friendly guy who attends to your immediately. The complex is clean. Back up power and water Now the not so good : units close to the road are always noisy because it's a busy road that has trucks going to the warehouses down the road. Washing lines are small so they are always full, you need to wake up early to get a spot. This is problematic because you are not allowed to hang clothes on your balcony.
