The constant power outages that last a minimum of 3 to 5 days. These occur every fortnight with no regards to how it affects the tenants. Your groceries will get spoilt with no compensation or even a mere acknowledgment from management. Do not get me started on the infestation of cockroaches, which do not even react to pest control mechanicals. The management is ran in a poorly manner with no regard for human life.

I moved here in December, I’ve been regretting this decision to move here. For the amount of money we pay here you would think a backup generator would be something they would consider. I don’t see myself staying here this winter with my family. I don’t recommend this place, I really thought I would get peace of mind here , what a dream. to add to that, due to past reviews there have been complaints about this electricity issue dating years back, even if management has no control over city power outages , you do have the power to be prepared for such situations. The lease agreement should be amended in a way that tenants have also the right to move out without penalty as when they signed they signed for a place with electricity. Tenants did not lease with city power, they leased with Sandton view lifestyle so management must have a plan to at least ease the frustration of the tenants like “A BACKUP GENERATOR” it doesn’t have to be on throughout the day batho bamodimo..

This is the worst place you can ever stay in. Don’t even waste your money. The power cuts are just unbearable and there is clearly no solution to the problem because they don’t care. The only solution they implemented is sending emails about the power outage and the municipalities posts on watsap on the update of the outages so we don’t call them. When you call they will tell you it’s beyond their control like there isn’t a generator that powers one block and the hotel. The generator is located at the residents side and it’s so loud but you aren’t even benefiting. The cockroaches? I’ve tried everything and they always come back, even had to get my TV fixed because they are everywhere and they ruin everything and there is no pest control at the place. They tell you there is WiFi, but trust me you will end up buying your own router because it is the slowest WiFi you will ever experience if you will even have WiFi at all, and it only connects to certain parts of the room and not all, so it’s useless. When I reported it, they told me WiFi is a gift from management and I should buy my own router until the problem it’s fixed, like it ain’t included in the lease and as part of their advertising.If you plan to work remotely find another place to stay because I’m forced to constantly go to internet cafe during power outages to work. Now I’m even currently sick because of taking cold showers everyday for the past 6 days. Please don’t come here, you work hard for your money and you deserve to stay in a place that provides excellent service/value for your money and this one is not. It’s a straight nightmare!

It is really upsetting that the power cuts happen so often, more especially in one month. Yes the power outages are be beyond their control but the lack of backup power is not. I fail to understand how the hotel and only one block in the estate is provided with backup power from the generator but not all of us? Do we not pay rent as the special one block does? Most importantly it’s financially straining to be disposing spoilt food because of the minimum of 3-day power outages. I have only been here for a month now and had to throw away food three times already because of the power outages and failure to provide backup power. Three times in one month is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. It’s been five days with no electricity now and no sort of solution for the problem. What type student accommodation does not provide back up power? It’s beyond disappointing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BY COMING TO THIS PLACE!

This place is genuinely one of the worst places to reside. There are constant power outages that happen. 3 times in one month, outages that are days long. There is no back up plan for instances like this. No solar panels and no generators. You would think that with the rent increase they would put that money somewhere to help with the issues in this place? No. The amount of cockroaches as well? Disgusting. And the landlords say that it’s an issue regarding the tenants cleanliness of their apartments. I arrived here in 2025 and before my family even left, they were making a breakthrough THE SAME DAY I MOVED IN. Yet, it’s an issue with the tenants, what a ridiculous excuse. There is now a rat problem creeping. A washing machine that doesn’t even work has been sitting there taking up space, instead of getting fixed. They cannot possibly think that the lies they tell people before they move in will them far. So many issues we experience as residents of this estate were never told to us in the gravity of how the situation actually is. Very disappointing, I must say.
