No Ventilation | Roaches and Mosquitoes | Noisy 24/7 | Save Your Money - Stay Away from HOMii Lifestyle Pathetic | Unprofessional | Unreasonable| Bad Attitude| Roadhes infested houses Nothing works in these buildings! You get hooked on nice pictures and what’s inside is pathetic! The unexplainable heat that comes from these partitioned units with No ventilation - they don’t care! The Lifts - forever not working. Lights can be off randomly so In a no loadshedding area. The Roaches - never seen so many roaches in one place. When they talk about pest control, useless they just come in to spill water and same day the roaches will be same place everywhere including the corridors - unbothered! We moved out of this place on the 1st of the month and the lift was stuck - not a surprise! So we couldn’t move one of our heaviest item as it required use of lift. We told the staff that since we are not able to move same item, it will be collected when lift is working. Okay, 13 days later a woman who’s been updating me notified me that the lift was fixed and is now working. Believest Thou, on the next day we went to collect midday, they refused and held us for 5+ hours refusing with our item! This is not even our fault- their lift was not working- but because we are dealing with top notch *****ic staff, expect it all. Also Not a shock as some of the tenants who moved out complained a lots about being charged extra amounts they had to pay in cash in the name of fines which are paid to a guy named Kwenzo in Cash. Now the same guy and his boss Panarosh or whoever he is were trying to ******* money from us by refusing with our item we couldn’t take down from 6th floor due to their breach to our services - no lift operating! HOMii Lifestyle has no regard for Customer Service!! They Just Do Not Care! Their Employees All of Them Are just So Unprofessional, Not Trained for the Residential Rental Housing sector, let alone customer service. Their manager is even worse than them - giving them unprofessional instructions that will harm their own business reputation! They don’t care!

If you don’t mind insects snacking on you while you sleep or waking up in the middle of the night with cockroaches everywhere then sure this place is for you. I once saw a scorpion under my bed which made me wonder why I was still there. When it rains your ceiling might fall on you while you sleep and it’s your responsibility to move your staff to another room. If you have an online business you might suffer a lot from the random Wi-Fi and water cuts. The bed bugs are real enter at your own risk. Can’t forget not having water and electricity for the whole festive season. No washing no cooking for a whole 2 months. Let that sink before you book. Let’s not talk about the noise level and funny smells when there is no water. Oh and if you can’t go connect your building don’t even think of going to another HOMii building to get some work done. The security will not allow you. Bed bugs are so real be carful they don’t get in your ear while you sleep

Place was great at start but ever since I moved into a new apartment I HAVE BEEN HAVING SLEEPLESS NIGHTS ESPECIALLY DURING THE WEEKENDS AND THE MANAGEMENT IS AWARE OF MY COMPLAINTS AND WHATS MORE DISSATISFACTION IS THAT STAFF MEMBERS ARE PART OF THE PARTY NOISE MAKING CREW! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! The noice is unbearable!!!!

We requested them to fumigate the place in February when my younger sister was moving in because there were cockroaches they never did and i paid rent for the whole year. Now recently in November i am told that she is owing for November they are not going to allow her access and they going to switch the electricity off. So if you don’t want to be stressed out stay far away from this place. They never even answer phone calls.

I resided at Homii Liverpool in Marshalltown for nearly a year, and it was a catalog of management failures and health violations from day one. I am writing this to warn any self-respecting individual especially those with children to stay away. I only lived here this long, only because of the safety of the area and close access to work. 1. Administrative Incompetence & Move-in Disasters My experience began with a "system error" where the apartment I had viewed and paid for was given to someone else. I was forced into a significantly smaller unit that could not fit my belongings. To make matters worse, I was welcomed by a literal infestation of hundreds of cockroaches. The sheer volume was so high that the entire floor smelled of them, a clear sign of long-term neglect. Beyond the hundreds of cockroaches, the building is plagued by a widespread bed bug infestation. 2. Dehumanising Living Conditions (Utilities & Safety) While Johannesburg faces power challenges, this building is uniquely ill-equipped. During outages that lasted for weeks: • No Water: Without electricity, the pumps failed. We were left without the ability to shower or flush toilets, leading to a building-wide stench that was absolutely dehumanizing. • Security Risk: Management made zero provision for backup power in common areas. During outages, security systems failed, allowing unauthorised access to the building 24/7. Meaning no camera surveillance and biometric access into the building, in Johannesburg CBD? Appalling. • Broken Infrastructure: The lifts are old and frequently out of order. During my move-out week, I was forced to carry my belongings down the stairs in total darkness because of a three-day outage. • Toxic Mold & Ventilation: Many bathrooms, including mine, have no windows or extractor fans. This poor ventilation led to a severe mold infestation that directly affected my respiratory health and lungs. • Plumbing & Odour: The toilet system is fundamentally flawed. When residents on other floors flush, it releases a foul methane/sewer gas odour into my apartment. Because my unit was an en-suite, the smell of stool was so overpowering I could not sleep without my bedroom window open, regardless of how clean I kept my own space. 3. Theft and "Cleaning Mistakes" My move-out process was the final straw. Although the official checkout is on the 1st of the month before 12:00 PM, I arrived on the 29th to find that management had cleared my unit. My belongings were thrown into dustbins, a brand-new dress was missing, and over R1,000 worth of non-perishable food was taken by staff. Management dismissed this as a "cleaning staff mistake," offering no accountability for the theft of my property. 4. Predatory and Hypocritical Policies Management expects total "understanding" from tenants regarding water and power failures, yet they extend zero grace in return. If rent is paid even two hours late on the 1st, they summarily disconnect your electricity. On one occasion, I paid at 2:00 PM while out of town; I returned five days later to a rotten fridge because they refused to reconnect the power promptly. There is no value for money, every month I felt like what I paid for rent and laundry, around R7000, was a waste of money. The management at Homii London has shown a blatant disregard for human life and basic safety. All these are solvable issues, that have been happening throughout the years, but management chooses to not address them. Even after tenants unionised to send formal complaints to corporate during a two-week outage, nothing changed. They prioritise indemnity over responsibility. Save your money, your health, and your dignity, look elsewhere.
