Luxury student accommodation.

This is a new building that opened last year, which is very close to the University of Pretoria. There are two-bedroom units available selling close to R2million. The building is in very close proximity to the Gautrain station - Hatfield. Shopping Malls closeby include Brooklyn Mall, and for serious shopping, Menlyn Shopping would not disappoint. Hillcrest Boulevard is also very close to Pick'n Pay and Woolies for serious groceries. Dischrm, Clicks, Pin' Pay, clothing, etc. are some of the shops found here, which are a short walking distance from the iQ Bishoscourt. Loftus Stadium is within a short walking distance - therefore the Bishopscourt seems to be centrally located and closer to most of the stuff any resident could look for. There is 24/7 security, and access to the building is controlled with facial recognition and CCTV cameras. For access, you show your face, and boom, the sliding glass door opens. This is the same with the basement parking garage, you show your face, and the garage get would open quick and close quickily. The doors to the apartments are fingerprint or security pin-controlled - everything is technology that has been working well for the last 6 months I have been here. On security, I can give 10/10, well done there. The 2 Bedroom apartments here are good; there is a power backup, therefore, when loadshedding hits, know that you are covered. There is heated water - centrally heated, therefore no gysers in the units. The water is always hot! Regarding the gas stoves in the apartment, I think this was prepared thinking about students since it's only for two plates. If you love cooking and you are in a big family (with pig pots), this could be a negative; however, for students, it could be a different story. Please note that the majority of people residing here are students, yes, with some working people with families like mine, so with the high student numbers, at times, the noise can be an issue. The bedrooms, however, do not have airvent which means that when all the windows are closed at night, you will see water on the windows - our breath, that humid. Perhaps when one sleeps with windows slightly open, at least more air can freely move. Air vents could have perhaps fixed this problem. Ventilation in the bedroom, once windows are closed, there is little air that circulates in the rooms. For bathrooms, at least there is an extractor fan, but the rooms, air circulation could have been considered by the investor.. In terms of Built-in-Cabinets, they are in abundance, which is a plus, lovely showers, one ensuite in the main bedroom, and one in the main area. This is a 10/10, very good. Not forgetting cleanliness, the place is clean! On top of the building is a Padel court and braai facilities, which are always clean. If one is tired of sitting in the apartment, one could go to the top of the building and get fresh air while admiring the surroundings from four areas. During the Jacaranda season, from September to November, your eyes would enjoy the views. Happy with this place!
