The Emerald Jewel City

Here it goes; inspired by the rowdiness which kept me up in the wee hours of the morning. The Emerald A tower of woes beneath the sky, A place where peace goes to die. Once a jewel, now broken, in need of a cast, Roaches reign—their kingdom is vast. Water, a luxury, comes and goes, A cruel tease as misery grows. WiFi, a myth, like a fleeting ghost— Connection lost; I can't even post. At dawn, the halls echo with children's screams. Peaceful sleep? You can only daydream. The drunken choir sings from dusk to dawn, Their broken souls united in a cursed song. The manager? Incompetence crowned. Solutions sought, but none are found. Security, a joke, a hollow guise, As crime lurks close—the streets, unkind. This block of despair, a prison of stone, A place where hope has long since flown. Beware, dear soul, who dares to stay— This is a place where joy decays.

An absolute nightmare. Save yourself and run very far from this place. Infested with cockroaches, sanitation is despicable and management is useless and absolute scammers. No where in the contract does it say you will have R9000 charged to you for “late notice” and “early termination” but they somehow manage to cook numbers to get out of paying you back your deposit- instead they now turn it and make it as if you owe them. That time we paid in advance. They don't even give you a statement to show the interest your deposit was accruing even though they are required to do so BY LAW. If they're thinking of blacklisting us, they need to tread lightly because we will not be bullied by them. Run very far from this place.

Save yourself and do not move into this place. The building is noisy and there are parties being held during the early hours of the morning. I work from home and it’s affecting my work. I sent countless messages to the building manager and emails to ithemba with recordings, videos and screenshots and they did absolutely nothing! I even got threatened while trying to report the noise in the building and nothing was done about it. I can’t wait any longer for my lease to end because the noise is unbearable! Stay away of you want peace of mind

Tjerr ziyawa la. Visited my friend and we partied from Thurs till Monday. Met the manager in the lift. Cool guy who understands this not the burbs but city apartments. Minus one star because I had to leave as there was no electricity for two days lol...and for those nosy foreigners neighbours who kept complaining as if these are the burbs nxa.

Electricity problems have gotten worse this year, on Average expect the electricity to be gone for 5+ days whenever it leaves, to spend extra money on take out, have your food get rotten and for the building to charge you full rent or more month end as if they provided you with what you paid for or hot water om the days of the outage. They're inconsiderate of their tenants and want to drain your pockets even when they cant give you service. They dont even consider the fact that people will move out due to their money greed and so far many have left this place, many to come will also leave. Do not move into this place if you value your money, you will be paying for days without electricity and service as well as if they provided anything. Then there's the noise of the partygoers who come back around 6 am and make noise for a full hour while some of us needed our small 1 hr sleep before a hectic day. The power outages never last a few hours always 4+ days. Even now there is one, there was one for almost a month and we still got charged full price. I repeat, do not live in this decrepid place. Itemba has failed this building massively and the manager is not much helpful when it comes to resolutions. As if a small fridge will fit everyone's supplies/groceries. We pay to struggle here, i swear, inconsiderate greedy monsters run this building. And they give you A.I generated answers when uou complain about the high fees when they cant provide service AT ALL.
